Chibombo Town Council has been battling to normalise the financial and operational irregularities identified in the Auditor General’s Report on the Accounts of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the Accounts of Local Authorities for 2023. The report had flagged large-scale unspent funds, low budget absorption, delayed projects, and the misappropriation of empowerment grants in Katuba Constituency.
