Workers at Marcopolo Tiles, a Chinese-run tile manufacturing company located along Mungwi Road in Lusaka West, yesterday staged a protest over unpaid arrears, low salaries, and management’s failure to renew their employment contracts since November 2024. The protest, which started around 07:30 hours, saw dozens of employees downing tools and vowing not to resume work until management assured them of a 10 percent salary increment and payment of overdue balances which were promised to them last year.
