UN Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned attacks by unidentified armed elements that resulted in the death of a Zambian peacekeeper and the injury of another in the Central African Republic. In a statement issued by the Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, it was stated that the attack happened on June 20 along the Birao-Am Dafock axis in Vakaga Prefecture.
