ONE thing that the August 12 polls proved to anyone who is observant is that the Zambian electorate are not as undiscerning as Mr Edgar Lungu and his Patriotic Front thought they were. Our people are generally very calm and reserved. But that should not be mistaken for being docile. Our people know what they want and what they don’t like. It is very clear that although many of our people were very quiet about the many abuses and excesses of the Patriotic Front, they were very angry, and they showed that anger in the best way possible by going to the ballot box in huge numbers.
