IN NOVEMBER, we published an editorial opinion in which we tried to demonstrate that load-shedding never ended. In that opinion, we brought out various text messages which Zesco sent to various customers explaining extended hours of maintenance works which they claimed was the cause of power supply shortages. We wondered how one area could have such a frequency of faults requiring ‘maintenance’ all the time? We thought that the board chairman, the managing director and their team at Zesco were not being sincere, and we warned that telling lies is not sustainable.
