FORMER president Edgar Lungu’s daughter, Chiyeso, has asked the court to set aside proceedings for irregularities in a matter in which the state applied for a non-conviction-based forfeiture order of the “tainted properties” belonging to members of the former first family. In June, the State seized properties linked to president Lungu, his wife Esther and their children, including Tasila. The Director of Public Prosecutions applied to court to have all the seized properties forfeited to the State. Among the properties which are suspected to be proceeds of crime are 15 double-storey flats in State Lodge belonging to Esther, a farm in Sinda District belonging to Tasila, one high cost house, three flats and four chicken runs belonging to Chiyeso, among...
