THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Southern Province executive has appealled to Members of Parliament (MPs) in the province to support the upcoming Inter-Constituency Football Tournament, a new initiative aimed at unearthing young football talent and raising much-needed funds to support grassroots football development in the region. Speaking in an interview, FAZ Southern Province Chairperson Nicholas Moomba said the tournament, which is set to feature teams from 20 constituencies including Chilundu and Itezhi-Tezhi, is designed with a three-fold objective: to expose unrecognized talent in rural areas, to promote inclusive football for both boys and girls, and to fundraise for the advancement of football activities across the province. “The tournament is restricted to players under-23 years and there is no Super...
