THE National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) has recorded a sweeping victory in Kitwe, winning the mayoral election, parliamentary seats and several ward seats. NRPUP mayoral candidate Charles Kabwita was declared the winner of the Kitwe mayoral election following Thursday’s polls, giving the party control of the city council. Speaking after his victory, Kabwita thanked the people of Kitwe for backing the party’s candidates at different levels of the election.
