THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday conducted a scene visit to Chalala in a matter in which a couple is accused of concealing and being in possession of 51 houses which are suspected to be proceeds of crime. The case is being presided by Magistrate Faides Hamaundu, who sits under the Economic and Financial Crimes Court. In this matter, Charles Loyana, a senior accountant at the Ministry of Finance and his wife Susan Loyana, an accountant at the Ministry of Works and Supply, are facing two counts of corrupt practices involving concealment and possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
