JUDOKA Simon Zulu has been disqualified from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games via hansoku-make during his contest against Jin-Won Kim of the Republic of Korea. Zulu, who was making his Olympics debut as in the men’s -60Kg contest, was eliminated in the round of 32 after he made a head dive 26 seconds into the contest. According to the International Judo Federation (IJF) judo refereeing rules which were updated on March 25th last year, using head diving during a judo contest is a punishable offence.
