PF Kitwe district information and publicity secretary Gift Kalumba has resigned from the ruling party.

Kalumba is the immediate past Rokana ward councillor in Kitwe.

In his resignation letter addressed to Kitwe District PF chairman Christopher Kang’ombe, Kalumba stated that he leaves the PF with a heavy heart.

“With this letter, its with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation letter from the party in position of Information and Publicity Secretary with immediate effect. I would like to thank the leadership for the time and support rendered to me over the 16 years that I have served this party in various capacities diligently. I will however, remain an ordinary life member,” stated Kalumba.

Kalumba has been critical of some of government’s decision and has been quoted supporting Harry Kalaba’s resignation as Foreign Affairs Minister.
