NEW HERITAGE Party president Chishala Kateka yesterday conducted a lone protest at the Kafue roundabout, lamenting the poor state of the economy and high cost of living. Clad in a white t-shirt and a chitenge, Kateka displayed various placards written ‘IMPIYA MU ECONOMY THELIZ NO (there’s no money in the economy)’ and ‘NJALA MU MA NYUMBA (there’s hunger in homes)’, among others. The protest, which began around 08:00 hours, ended peacefully, without any police action. Speaking to journalists during the protest, Kateka lamented that the cost of living kept rising, to the detriment of the poor. “As we have been going around, we have seen how Zambians have really suffered with the cost of living, the high cost of living....
