PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has accorded an official funeral to the late FDD leader and former Cabinet minister in the MMD government, Edith Nawakwi, who died on Monday, April 7, in South Africa. President Hichilema has also declared Friday, April 11, a day of national mourning in honour of the late former Cabinet minister, when she will be laid to rest. Nawakwi, aged 66, died at Garden City Hospital in Johannesburg, where she was evacuated for specialist treatment.
