MARCOPOLO Tiles Company Ltd says the unpaid arrears, which prompted protests earlier this week, relate to the 10 percent salary increment that was to be implemented in January. The company has committed that all outstanding arrears will be paid effective month-end. Workers at Marcopolo Tiles, a Chinese-run tile manufacturing company located along Mungwi Road in Lusaka West, on Monday staged a protest over unpaid arrears, low salaries, and management’s failure to renew their employment contracts since November 2024.
