THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has announced that the Lumezi by-election will proceed as scheduled today, June 26, 2025. On Tuesday, the ECZ had noted with concern the omission of a participating candidate’s name on the ballot papers. New Congress Party (NCP) president Peter Chanda indicated that it was actually UPND candidate Lufeyo Ngoma, as only his first name was appearing on the printed ballot papers.
