SIX police officers are under arrest for their involvement in criminal activities relating to the Sugilite scandal. A police Commissioner, a Superintendent, a Chief Inspector, a Sergeant and two Constables have had to step aside because they have been caught on the wrong side of the law. Reacting to the development, Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba had no time sugarcoating it. It’s an embarrassment, he says, because police officers are supposed to be role models of society and not architects of criminal activities.
