CHIEF Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa’s statement that government cannot afford to introduce subsidies because of some debt restructuring conditionalities can’t pass without comment. The minister says Zambia’s creditors would view it as a luxury if his government introduced subsidies on fuel and mealie meal.
