THE annual inflation rate for December 2021 has dropped to 16.4 percent from 19.3 percent recorded in November this year. Speaking during a media briefing, Thursday, Zambia Statistics Agency interim statistician general Mulenga Musepa said the slow down in annual inflation was attributed to favorable price movements in both food and non-food items. “Annual inflation for December, 2021 decreased to 16.4 percent from 19.3 percent recorded in November 2021. This means that on average, prices of goods and services increased by 16.4 percent between December 2020 and December 2021.
