TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) and ActionAid have welcomed the approach taken by new DEC Director General Nason Banda in terms of how the commission will conduct its investigations under his tenure. Banda recently said members of the public should not expect regular announcements on cases being investigated, saying that would only happen when there was concrete evidence. Speaking when he featured on Diamond TV’s Costa programme, Sunday, Banda said he did not want to dent people’s names for nothing, hence cases would only be announced when there was evidence. And in an interview, Tuesday, TI-Z Executive Director Maurice Nyambe said in the past, some cases whose prior arrests were done with much drama had collapsed due to lack of evidence....
