SPEAKING at the inaugural national annual prosecutors’ conference in Livingstone, Chief Justice Mumba Malila said it was unfair that corruption cases involving high profile individuals take so long to conclude in court while trials involving ordinary citizens last less than six months. The Chief Justice observed when high profile cases drag, they end up being unceremoniously discontinued, leaving investigators and prosecutors with excuses around inadequate evidence.
