MILES Sampa has withdrawn his candidature for the newly created Lima constituency. Sampa, who is the immediate past MP for Matero constituency, had filed to contest as an independent candidate. He recently bragged that he could contest anywhere in Lusaka and win, but has now added to the number of independent contestants withdrawing from the August polls across the country. In a letter dated May 26, 2026, Sampa informed the Electoral Commission of Zambia of his withdrawal from the parliamentary race.
