THE University of Zambia Students’ Union (UNZASU) has directed students who are on campus to leave the premises due to un-conducive conditions caused by water interruptions. A fortnight ago, the Zambia National Service indicated that 720 of the 764 metres on the primary sewer line had so far been completed, while works on the secondary sewer line and hostel facilities were progressing. However, in a letter dated June 17, 2026, addressed to students at the Great East Road Campus, the UNZASU administration indicated that there were multiple water pipe bursts across campus, causing a lack of water supply in the affected zones, including the residences.
