FNB Zambia has disputed reports that it has stopped accepting over-the-counter deposits of less than K10,000 in any of its 23 branches, saying it only encourages its customers to make use of the Advanced Deposit Terminals (ADTs) and ATMs. Some FNB customers have lamented that the bank has in the recent past been refusing to accept over-the-counter deposits of less than K10,000, and telling clients with less amounts to use ATMs or cash-plus agents. “Most of the time when I go to deposit there, I deposit amounts around five, six thousand, seven [thousand kwacha].
