ZCCM Investment Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) has revealed that in 2023, Mopani Copper Mines Plc recorded a loss of K9.25 billion, a marked increase from the previous year’s K5.05 billion. In addition, ZCCM-IH says Mopani’s operations have negatively impacted it and its subsidiaries, contributing a substantial loss of K9.2 billion, about US$449.46 million, this year. Meanwhile, ZCCM-IH says it is monitoring the situation regarding the takeover of Investrust by the Bank of Zambia and will provide updates to stakeholders on significant developments, as it holds a 71.4 percent stake in the bank.
