DEPUTY Secretary to Cabinet Administration Dr Oliver Kalabo has told the Lusaka High Court that his office did not breach any part of the Constitution by enforcing the withdrawal of former president Edgar Lungu’s pension and benefits. And Dr Kalabo has also told the court to dismiss Lungu’s petition, adding that he is not entitled to any of the reliefs he is seeking. In this matter, Lungu challenged the State’s decision to withdraw his benefits following his political comeback seeking a declaration that the withdrawal of his pension and other benefits as of November 1, 2023 was discriminatory, unconstitutional, and therefore illegal.
