NDC national youth chairperson Charles Kabwita says his party will next month carryout countrywide protests against AVIC International for allegedly being a PF surrogate to siphon public money.
Kabwita in a statement instructed his youths to be clad in black attire on the days of the protests.
He stated that the protests will start on August 3, 2018, from Kitwe and later spread to Chingola and Mufulira districts on 1st and 17th and later move to Chililabombwe and Ndola on 24th and 31st respectively.
Kabwita charged that Government had continued awarding dubious contracts to AVIC International at the expense of competent local contractors.
He further stated that Zambia’s international gross reserves had dried up owing to capital flight by Avic International.
Kabwita also invited civil society groups, academia, labour unions, residents and youths from other political parties to join the protests, which will be staged at respective districts commissioners’ offices at 09:00 hours.
And Kabwita stated that the party leadership had already started notifying police in respective districts on the planned protests.
