NEW Heritage Party president Chishala Kateka has wondered why government couldn’t wait until next year to remove fuel subsidies, saying it’s strange that the decision was effected just before Christmas. In an interview, Thursday, Kateka said the removal of subsidies would bring a lot of hardships on Zambians as the cost of doing business would go up. “With regards to the removal of subsidies, both electricity and fuel and whatever else subsidy they will decide to remove, the manner in which it has been done has been a cause of concern.
