THE annual inflation rate for July 2022 has increased to 9.9 percent from the 9.7 percent recorded in June. At a media briefing, Thursday, Zambia Statistics Agency Interim Statistician General Mulenga Musepa attributed the marginal increase to price movements in both food and non-food items. He said food inflation increased to 12.0 percent from 11.9 percent in June 2022, while non-food inflation increased to 7.2 percent from 6.9 percent. “Annual inflation for July 2022 increased to 9.9% from 9.7% recorded in June 2022.
