ECONOMIST Chibamba Kanyama says there is no magic behind government’s decision to reintroduce meal allowances, observing that the current administration has focussed on sealing leakages and removal of corrupt activities which is freeing up resources for social expenditure. On Monday, former PF secretary general Davies Mwila said government had created serious problems for itself by reintroducing meal allowances when there’s no money, projecting that students would be protesting every three months.
