THE Zambia Correctional Service says the recruitment process of about 700 officers is progressing well despite the regrettable death of two people. In an interview, ZCS commissioner general Fredrick Chilukutu said the service was short of 1,600 officers to reach the set target of 5,000 officers for the entire country. “As you are aware, we were given treasury authority by Cabinet office to recruit 700 officers, and that 700 is coming to expand the establishment.
