ACTIONAID Zambia has called on the government to ensure transparency and accountability in disposing off the confiscated illegally harvested Mukula. In a statement, Tuesday, ActionAid Interim country director Musonda Kabinga said while his organisation was impressed with stringent measures employed by government in curbing illegal harvesting and trade of Mukula, there was need for transparency. “The Mukula tree has for some time been exploited at an alarming rate around the country and illegally harvested and exported allegedly by some Zambians.
