UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda says PF has failed to match the ruling party in almost all by-elections held since the 2021 general elections. Last week, the Electoral Commission of Zambia set April 20, 2023, as the date on which to hold ward by-elections in Muchinda ward in Central Province, Chitimukulu ward in Copperbelt Province, and Katilye ward in Northern Province. The by-elections have arisen due to the deaths, and resignation of councilors in the three wards.
