FORMER National Association of Small and Medium Scale Contractors president Mutale Mpepo says he suspects that an invisible hand is involved in his recent arrest for corrupt practices. On Tuesday, the Anti-Corruption Commission arrested Mpepo and former Secretary General of the association Danny Simumba for corrupt practices involving K79,000. In a statement, ACC head of corporate communications Timothy Moono said Mpepo and Simumba between June 1 and 31, 2018 stole cash totaling K79,000 intended for workshops, benchmarking studies and feasibility studies by the said Association. “The Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested the former president of the National Association of Small and Medium Contractors Edward Mpepo and the former Secretary General of the same association Danny Simumba for corrupt practices involving K79,000.00....
