THE Auditor General’s report for the financial year ended December 31, 2022 has revealed that various drugs and medical supplies costing K2 million that were received from ZAMMSA were not accounted for at 17 medical stations. The Report indicated that the drugs and medical supplies had no disposal details such as stock control cards and supply vouchers. “Regulation 16 of the Finance (Control and Management) (Public Stores) Regulations requires that every stores officer or any other officer having in his charge any public stores or other articles of public property must keep and maintain record of the receipt and issue of such public stores.
