FORMER Kasenengwa PF MP Sensio Banda has wondered whether peace will be enough to sustain the country in the face of economic hardships and ever escalating cost of living. Banda has warned that the inability to access affordable staple foods can result in social unrest, conflict and increased crime within communities. He states that instead of government resorting to what he terms as the “tired cliché of at least we have peace” when addressing the rising cost of living, it must confront the harsh reality head-on.
