VICE-President Mutale Nalumango says it’s incorrect to suggest that maize exports have led to lack of food among some citizens. And Vice-President Nalumango has revealed that at least six million people have been estimated to be affected by the drought as at February 15, 2024. Delivering a ministerial statement on measures government had put in place to alleviate the hunger situation countrywide, Tuesday, Vice-President Nalumango said the country had maize, but the concern was whether the stock would be enough to reach the 2024/25 season.
