THE Department of Immigration has charged 21 foreign nationals out of the 23 nabbed in the Golden Top Support Services internet fraud scandal with various immigration offences which include unlawful stay and engaging in employment without a permit. In a statement, Namati Nshinka stated that 17 Chinese out of the 21 arrested had been charged with engaging in employment without a permit. “The Department of Immigration has charged 21 of the 23 Foreign nationals apprehended during the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC)-led joint operation conducted on 5th April 2024 at Golden Top Support Services, located in Roma, Lusaka, during which a sophisticated internet fraud syndicate was uncovered.
