KONKOLA Copper Mine (KCM) has told workers that their May salaries will be delayed due to circumstances beyond their control. But Mine Workers Union of Zambia (MUZ) president Joseph Chewe says stakeholders who are involved in the running of KCM should remove corporate greed and pay off the workers. In a notice to all employees, Friday, KCM Acting Vice President in charge of Human Capital Management Prudence Chisakuta stated that the mine would not pay the workers’ salaries on time due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. “KCM employees salaries are paid every 25th day of the month and if such a date falls on a weekend, Konkola Copper Mine pays salaries on a date before the actual pay date....
