THE Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union of Zambia says reintroducing examinations before civil servants are promoted will enhance professionalism and hard work in the public service. The union has, however, called on government to consider introducing a cost-of-living allowance for civil servants to cushion the impact of high commodity prices.
