SOCIALIST Party National Youth Chairperson Kelvin Kaunda says the party withdrew its plans to hold a rally because the police did not respond to the request on time. On Thursday, police said the Socialist Party had willingly withdrawn its planned rally, which was scheduled for June 29, 2024, at Chawama – Misisi ground in Lusaka. Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale emphasised that the police were ready to police any public gathering or procession and were looking forward to maximum cooperation from all citizens.
