IN Eastern Province, authorities are looking into an extraordinary case involving a 21-year-old woman from Chiwete village in Chipangali, who, according to her family, has reportedly returned to life after being buried in 2019. In an interview, Friday, Eastern Province police commanding officer Robertson Mweemba provided details about Felopa Mbewe, who apparently died in 2019 following an attempted suicide, but resurrected on an unknown date early last month. Mweemba explained that after a dispute with her mother, Felopa ingested a tablet intended for preserving maize. Her parents, in their panic, administered a remedy that caused her to vomit the tablet.
