ZAMMSA has disclosed that it has started distributing health commodities previously marooned at a private depot in Makeni, to health facilities across the country. In July, former Health Minister Sylvia Masebo revealed that 61 out of 74 containers of medication which were supposed to be stored at ZAMMSA warehouse were diverted to a private warehouse without the knowledge of the Ministry and the ZAMMSA board. Subsequently, ZAMMSA Director General Victor Nyasulu was fired, President Hakainde Hichilema moved Masebo to the Ministry of Lands, and Health Minister Elijah Muchima dissolved the ZAMMSA board.
