KITWE District Commissioner Lawrence Mwanza has disclosed that some individuals are forging Co-operative Certificates and engaging in corrupt practices in order to benefit from Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grants and loans. Mwanza said this during the official opening of the capacity building conference for entrepreneurs from 10 districts on the Copperbelt organised by Zambia Foundation for a Better Life at Buchi hall in Kitwe, Wednesday. “Government is doing everything possible to provide alternative sources of capital such as the Constituency Development Fund grants and loans but some unscrupulous individuals are forging cooperative certificates to access the funds. I can confirm that currently, we are investigating two forged cooperative certificates as the cooperatives got government money using forged certificates,” he said....
