THERE was drama at Mulungushi International Conference Centre yesterday when Civil Service Commission Chairperson Dr Choolwe Beyani had a heated verbal altercation with ZamStats Board of Directors Chairperson Oliver Chinganya over the revised 2022 census summary report. Dr Beyani charged that ZamsStats had ignored President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive by not addressing some glaring discrepancies in 15 wards, thereby rendering their report illegal, null and void. Meanwhile, the report revealed that as at September 8, 2022 the country’s population was over 19.6 million with Lusaka Province recording the highest population of 3,093,617.
