UPND Deputy Secretary General Gertrude Imenda says President Hakainde Hichilema will retain the presidency in 2026 but adds that the party will hold intra-party elections before the polls. Meanwhile, Imenda says former Local Government Minister Gary Nkombo remains the party’s chairman for elections, arguing that his dismissal did not imply indiscipline.
