LAST week, the Zambia Public Procurement of Authority (ZPPA) announced the cancellation of the fertiliser supply tender for the 2022/2023 farming season which was recently awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture. According to ZPPA director general Idah Chella, the process was flawed, and the action by her office was in line with regulation 249 following a realisation that the Ministry of Agriculture, included local suppliers on a bid that was restricted to citizen bidders.
