WE posed a question in our editorial opinion yesterday; why have our ministers failed to stop the illegal mining activities in Chingola which have continued to claim the lives of so many youths. We observed that Honourable Paul Kabuswe in his capacity as Mines Minister; Honourable Chipoka Mulenga in his capacity as Chingola member of parliament; and Honourable Elisha Matambo as Copperbelt Minister have not done enough to put an end to the dangerous and illegal operations. The public is still waiting for them to give responses to the findings of our investigation. Whatever Honourable Kabuswe said in indemnifying the government against liability on illegal mining was senseless. Our laws are very clear about mining operations. No one is allowed...
