Roan PF of parliament Chishimba Kambwili has collapsed in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court holding cell.

After the Kasalanga arrived to pick inmates, chaos erupted after word went round that the NDC leader had collapsed around 17:30 hours.

After about 10 minutes, some cadres stormed the holding cell and carried him to a waiting car to rush him to a hospital but police blocked the car from moving for a few minutes.

This morning, Lusaka magistrate Mwaka Mikalile granted Kambwili K10,000 cash bail with two working sureties bound at K100,000 in their own recognizance despite strong opposition from the state.

Magistrate Mikalile also ordered Kambwili, who pleaded not guilty to all charges, to handover his passport to the court.

However, his bail has not yet been finalized.

More details later.
