CALM has returned to Zambezi District following violent clashes which occurred on Monday and Tuesday between the Lunda and Luvale people which left several people injured and houses torched. And House of Chiefs Chairperson Chief Chisunka says a delegation from the Provincial Council of Chiefs and the Department of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs had been engaged to swiftly convene an emergency meeting to help restore peace between the warring tribes. Meanwhile, North-Western Province minister Robert Lihefu says the traditional leadership and royal families had a big role to play in ending the violence.
