MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary Prof Christopher Simoonga has disagreed with the Global Fund audit report which found him in a conflict of interest for allegedly awarding a US$6.8 million contract to a company linked to Chreso University, where he served as Vice Chancellor. And Prof Simoonga has insisted that he is not corrupt and that he declared interest during the tendering process. He has further argued that no US$6.8 million contract was awarded as the process was discontinued, adding that he holds no shares in Chreso Ministries Health Program, the company that emerged as the top bidder.
